Vision + Mission

  1. A future where Canada is leading a just transition to a carbon-free world, enacting declarations in the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) and raising up those who would be most impacted by climate breakdown.

  2. Canada acknowledges and works to remedy the harms it has perpetuated against the environment and Indigenous peoples through excessive emissions, extractive industries, settler colonialism, rampant capitalism and Indigenous genocide.

  3. This remediation is enacted through declaring Constitutional protection of environmental rights--declaring ecocide a crime--and establishing People's Assemblies, centering leadership and voices from Indigenous Nations and marginalized peoples.

  1. To educate and mobilize members of the Ottawa region to act on this climate crisis and address the deeply rooted problems of this land. To spark and sustain a spirit of creative rebellion, which will enable much needed changes in our political, economic and social landscapes.

  2. To break down hierarchies within the government that are hindering action on this ecological crisis.

  3. To learn and practice the world we want to see in the future, in relating to each other and the environment that we are a part of.
